Mayor's Walk and Wheel Challenge

Win!

We’re launching a brilliant new walking and wheeling initiative across South Yorkshire this summer to get primary school children more active and healthyand we want you to get involved.

From 17 to 28 June we’d like every child to choose to walk, wheel or cycle to school in the Mayor’s ‘Walk and Wheel Challenge.

Get involved

It’s easy for schools to take part. Register now to sign-up and download our fun toolkit, where you’ll find ready-made resources including activity packs, colourful posters, fun stickers and more.

Our challenge isn’t competitive – there won’t be winners, the joy is very much in the taking part. If your school takes part, it will be entered into a fantastic prize draw offering the chance to win bikes for your school, scooter or cycle racks, or a VIP workshop with triple Olympic champion and South Yorkshire's Active Travel Commissioner, Ed Clancy OBE . Entries must be received by 18 June.

The Walk and Wheel Challenge is part of Mayor Oliver Coppard’s Year of Active Travel – his mission to get people moving more and moving differently for a healthier, happier, safer South Yorkshire.
