Openness and transparency is at the heart of decision-making at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and Local Enterprise Partnership. Elected Members from our constituent (Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham) and non-constituent (Derbyshire Dales, North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield, Bassetlaw and Bolsover) authorities and Private Sector Leaders sit on our decision-making committees. They are supported by our MCA Executive Team.

Our Audit & Standards Committee

The Mayoral Combined Authority’s Audit and Standards Committee provides a high-level focus on assurance and the organisation’s arrangements for governance, managing risk, maintaining an effective control environment, and reporting on financial and non-financial performance.

Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Mayoral Combined Authority Overview and Scrutiny Committee has the responsibility to check that the MCA and LEP are delivering their objectives and that the decisions made in policies, strategies and plans have been made in the best interests of the residents and workers of the local areas.
