Youth Climate Action Fund

The Youth Climate Action Fund is a new programme supporting young people aged 15 to 24 to lead climate and environment-focused projects across South Yorkshire.

Funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies and delivered by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), the programme is designed to help young people take action on the issues that matter most to them.

How to get involved

A project we fund might focus on improving a local green space or be a plan to start a new initiative in the community – what's important is that projects will benefit their local area and help build a greener future for South Yorkshire.

Projects should fit into at least one of the following themes:

Who can apply

Young people can apply for funding through schools, colleges, youth groups, or community organisations. 

Projects must be designed and led by young people aged 15 to 24, with the supporting organisation helping to develop ideas and deliver activities.
