ROTHERHAM GATEWAY STATION

One of Rotherham’s most ambitious projects, the proposed Gateway Station is an integrated transport hub, headlined by a new mainline station providing faster and more direct mainline train services to Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London and other UK destinations.

A Tram Train stop, bus interchange and high-quality wheeling, walking and cycling route connectivity would ensure easy station access.

The Rotherham Gateway proposition includes a job-boosting business centre within the station building as a catalyst for further development.

The wider plan for adjacent regeneration includes an Innovation Campus and Living Quarter. The scheme is now moving into the detailed design phase.
