The scheme delivered highway improvements to A628 Dodworth Road / Pogmoor Road crossroads which is a key arterial route on BMBC's principal road network. The highway improvements facilitate economic development by unlocking prime development land currently constrained by highway capacity.

The Phase 1 Dodworth Road scheme is closely linked to the M1 J37 Claycliffe Phase 2 scheme which brings forward the delivery of the phase 1 gyratory highway improvements to A628 Dodworth Road / Pogmoor Road crossroads which is a key arterial route on BMBC’s principal road network.  The highway improvements facilitate economic development by unlocking prime development land currently constrained by highway capacity.
