The physical works included two elements. The first Work Package delivered the highway mitigations to the existing 3 roundabouts of Cathill, Broomhill, and Wath Road for the benefit of all road users. In addition these works provided capacity to accommodate the likely increase in traffic volume as a result from the second Work Package B. This delivered new roundabout/access into a proposed employment site (from the A635). The roundabout is a 3-arm roundabout with a 2 lane entry on each arm and a one lane exit on each arm. This is funded on the basis that jobs will be created from the roundabout spurs for future employment sites. It is estimated that by preparing the roads for increased traffic and employment sites this would result in creation of commercial floorspace and 359 jobs.
