Connecting Sheffield: Neepsend–Kelham–City Centre has been designed to reinforce and accelerate the development of the vibrant Neepsend and Kelham area, helping to improve the environment for those living in, working in and visiting these areas by providing a segregated cycle route along Tenter Street and West Bar with sustainable urban drainage systems, bus priority interventions in Kelham and Neepsend and the reconfiguration of West Bar roundabout to prioritise pedestrians and cyclists. Traffic management measures in Kelham and Neepsend are reducing through traffic, including localised junction improvements for pedestrians and cyclists.

The scheme has been open and in use since February 2025.
