The key towns and core city of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The SYMCA uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment.

This scheme consolidates the existing educational and cultural role of the Fitzalan Square and Brown Street corridor in Sheffield City Centre by bringing sites forward for redevelopment. This project addresses specific infrastructure issues and provides a high quality environment.

This project, which is complete, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

This investment is expected to deliver 2,863 jobs.
