NEW ACTIVE TRAVEL FOOT CYCLE BRIDGE

A £1.5m Getting Building Fund grant will pay for planning, approval and design fees, procurement costs and construction.

The Active Travel Bridge will open green space to residents in the town centre, and link two existing greenspaces which are currently severed by the Sheffield / Huddersfield railway line. It will provide a safe crossing point which does not exist currently, and will generally contribute to long term health and economic benefits provided by green and active travel.
