Community Grants
The Community Grant Scheme is aimed at empowering non-profit organisations to contribute towards achieving the aims of the Police and Crime Plan.
The scheme is funded from the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) and SYMCA’s policing budget. The Proceeds of Crime Act refers to monies confiscated from criminals and awarded to worthy causes to help reduce crime and the impacts of crime in South Yorkshire. The PCC also allocates funding from his budget to make up the total scheme value.
