Data and Intelligence Hub Dashboards
The Data and Intelligence Hub is a web-based data resource where anyone can access data relating to South Yorkshire. The platform provides a range of data useful for understanding the local economy, as well as social and environmental outcomes. It also helps to understand relative performance and changes in data.
South Yorkshire Growth Plan
The South Yorkshire Growth Plan sets out a clear ambition to deliver a bigger, better economy for South Yorkshire. We want those growing up here to believe, with confidence, that in South Yorkshire you can stay near and go far.
This is a 10-year plan which aims to grow our business base and our labour market through delivering against four missions:
- Our Businesses: 2035 – a strong, diverse business base
- Our Places: 2035 – connected, vibrant places
- Our People: 2035 – pathways to stay near and go far
- Our future: 2035 – a resilient SY .

Renewal Action Plan
The Renewal Action Plan (PDF 10Mb) sets out our road map to help South Yorkshire recover from the pandemic and put us on the path towards social and economic renewal. It will help people, employers and places recover, and put us on course to transform our region – making our economy and society stronger, greener and fairer.
The plan also contributes to our longer-term goals and the transformation of our South Yorkshire region – so we can build back better.
Transport Strategy
The Mayor’s Transport vision sets out how we are going to transform the region’s transport network. By 2040 we will be a region with comprehensive, effective and integrated transport connections, which support economic growth and improves quality of life for all.

Energy Strategy
The SYMCA’s Energy Strategy outlines how the region could achieve its ambition to be at net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, ten years before the goal set by Government. The target was set following Mayor Dan Jarvis’s declaration of a Climate Emergency in South Yorkshire in November 2019.
