Skills Bootcamps

SYMCA is currently working with providers to look at the next wave of delivery across our region of Skills Bootcamps to support people to build sector-specific skills and vital training.

Skills Bootcamps are flexible courses that can last up to 16 weeks, for those aged 19+ and give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and a guaranteed interview with a local employer on completion of the course.

Skills Bootcamps will also support individuals across priority groups including:

  • Low paid workers
  • The unemployed or out of work
  • Veterans
  • Ex-offenders
  • Women
  • Ethnic minorities
  • The over 50s
  • Those returning work after a break/maternity leave
  • People living with a health conditions or disabilities.

Skills Bootcamps available during 2024/25, that are being delivered by providers across South Yorkshire will be announced early July 2024. Please check back for more information.
