STEP LOCAL TRANSPORT PLAN

We are working to build a super-connected city region; improving transport connectivity within the city region is a priority for us. 

This project delivers a series of transport interventions developed to provide enabling infrastructure to support SYMCA’s growth ambitions and enhance the quality of life for existing residents, employees and employers, whilst also adding to the attraction for potential movement and investment into the area. The primary focus of STEP is active travel, delivered by new or improved dedicated walking and cycling routes and enhance public transport provision.

This project, which is currently in delivery, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
