PURCHASE OF ADVANCED MANUFACTURING PARK TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Developing an Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District for the South Yorkshire region is a key priority for the LEP. By transferring ownership of this outstanding asset at the heart of the AMID from national government to the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority we are supporting the growth and competitiveness of advanced manufacturing in the city region.

This project, which has completed, included a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

This investment is expected to deliver 279 jobs.

SYMCA LGF allocation: £7,550,000
Total project cost: £7,550,000
